inewa | Member of Elevion Group to upgrade its biogas plants to produce biomethane
The operation is part of inewa’s growth and consolidation strategy in the Italian bioenergy sector.
According to the Italian National Energy Strategy biomethane is expected to play a key role in the country’s decarbonization and it is estimated that Italy could potentially produce up to 8,5 billion scm of biomethane in 2030, thus covering 12% of the country’s national gas consumption.
