The engineering company was founded in 1993 by Michael Hasdorf and Torsten Mücker in Berlin. After Arne Peil joined the company, it was renamed and realigned in 2011. Since 01.04.2023, peil & partner ingenieure GmbH has also been represented in Kiel, Braunschweig and Halle (Saale). On April 1, 2024, Michael Hasdorf stepped down from his position on the management board, whereupon Philippe Hoffmann, together with Arne Peil, took over the management of the company. A team of 150 highly qualified employees now works at five locations across Germany.
