Solar power for a car dealership

Challenge

Autopark is one of the largest car dealerships in Tyrol and one of the leading dealers for used cars with more than 300 vehicles to choose from. The company offers a comprehensive range of services at its five locations, including the sale of new and used cars as well as professional workshop and servicing.

Due to its wide range of services, the car dealership faces the challenge of coping with high electricity consumption. Autopark GmbH is aware of this challenge and implements targeted measures to counteract the increasing demand for electricity in a sustainable and economical way.

Solution

The switch to renewable energy sources and better energy management help to reduce electricity consumption and operating costs. SYNECOTEC was commissioned to support the car dealership in this step and to equip and commission the first of three locations in Tyrol with a photovoltaic system.

The 177 kWp system produces more than 180,000 kWh per year, covering over 80% of the energy requirements at the Telfs-Pfaffenhofen site.

"With the new photovoltaic system, we can meet this demand sustainably and economically", adds Michael Mayr, Managing Director of Autopark GmbH.

But that's not all!

The additional planned photovoltaic systems at the Innsbruck and Wörgl sites with a total output of 440 kWp will supply all five Autopark GmbH sites with solar power via an energy community.
