The company was founded in 1980 as AMPRO Elektroakustik GmbH and renamed AMPRO Medientechnik GmbH in 1999. Since 2022, Ampro has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of EAB Elektroanlagenbau GmbH Rhein/Main. The company has been an authorized Dynacord and Electrovoice dealer since 1983 and thus has a wealth of experience.
